LAUSD considers closing schools week early, parents speak out

Desperate school district calls for desperate measures. The Los Angeles Unified School District might close its $640 million budget gap by closing schools one week early this year. Superintendent Ramon C. Cortinez says it would be a "temporary fix" until the states budget crisis is over. That won't be happening anytime soon. A final decision isn't expected until the weekend.
