Palo Alto school district gets gift from Google

The Palo Alto Unified School District's wireless network is about to get stronger, thanks to the "contribution" from Google of 350 wireless access points and other networking hardware, the district announced Tuesday. According to a statement released by the district, the points will be spread across its 18 campuses. "This contribution will more than double the number of wireless access points in our network, allowing us to expand coverage to every classroom in the district and enable our high school students to connect their personal devices to the network," Ann Dunkin, the district's director of technology, said in the statement.
