Another East County school district reports deficit spending

The Grossmont Union High School District spent $9.9 million more than it brought in during the last fiscal year, according to district documents.The district reported revenues of slightly less than $183.4 million and expenses of more than $193.3 million in the 2009-10 fiscal year, which ended June 30. That left the district with a general-fund balance of $22.7 million, a 30.4 percent drop compared with the previous year. (more…)
